Aaricia grew up between Belgium and India, which developed her passion for Indian culture. At a very young age, she was immersed in the atmosphere of Bollywood films and began dancing with Maya Sapera, from whom she learned different forms of Indian dance and who she later joined as a professional dancer.

Aaricia traveled to India to deepen her practice of Rajasthani folk dances with local Kalbeliya dancers. In 2015, she realised her dream of studying classical Kathak dance in Mumbai with the renowned Shila Mehta and perfected her art thanks to a prestigious scholarship from the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations).

She has been teaching dance for over 15 years, to both amateurs and professionals. Now a doctor in Hindi linguistics, Aaricia develops personal artistic projects merging her passions for dance and languages.

Tala & Nritya is delighted to welcome her back as a guest teacher this year.
