DANCE WORKSHOPS
Odissi
Native to the state of Odisha, east of India. This very fluid and graceful style is characterized by the striking of the feet, the delicate movements of the bust and the head, the mudras (position of the hands), the expression of the emotions and narration of poetic stories. The workshop is given by Nathalie Pieltain.
Kalbeliya
Folk dance of Rajasthan (North India). It's an energetic dance with footwork and twirls. The gentle movements of the wrists and the elegant fingers give it a very feminine and graceful character. The workshop is given by Maya Sapera.
Kathak
Classical dance from North India whose name means "story, tale" in Sanskrit. The techniques of Kathak tell stories through a choreographic language expressed by the positions of the hands, the games of the feet, the look, the postures of the body and the turns. The workshop is given by Sarah.
Price per workshop: 15 € normal fee | 12 € reduced fee (students <25 years old, jobseekers and seniors)
Promotional price for 5 stages teens/adults (from 13 years old): 65 € full rate | 55 € reduced price

GARBA - NAVRATRI FESTIVAL
The Garba is the folk dance of Gujarat (North India). We play and dance together, most often in a circle, clapping our hands and twirling to the rhythmic sounds of Gujarat. It is traditionally danced during the Navaratri festival that honors the goddess Shakti for 9 days. Sunday 29 September we celebrate the first day of this festival.
Adorn yourself with your most beautiful colorful Indian clothes, your most beautiful jewels and join us in this incredible adventure. Everyone is welcome.
This activity is led by Sarah, who will teach you some traditional steps that you will then dance together in a circle.
